Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor, director, producer as well as a teacher of St. Thomas University). Her father comes from Britain and her mother is the "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals and observing her mother at work. When she was a child, she was featured in various commercials. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career.
